Michael Knipe

Biography

Michael has been with DeMoulin since July 2011.  He has many years of teaching experience in the great state of Texas!  He holds a B. M. E. from Baylor University with a major in Instrumental Music Education and a minor in Applied Music.

Michael began his teaching career as a private lesson instructor at Duncanville High School, later became Associate Director of Bands, and then Director of Bands at Bishop Dunne High School in Dallas, Texas. Beginning in 2003, he served as Assistant Band Director at Martin High School in Arlington, Texas. Michael was both a vital part of the MHS Warrior Marching Band and consistently earned sweepstakes ratings with his concert bands. In 2009, Michael was an integral part of Martin High School winning the Grammy Signature School Award, an annual honor given to the most outstanding high school music department in the nation.
